Lot 1757
1875 Quarter Dollar Octagonal Indian Head. . BG- 796, Rarity 5. PCGS graded MS-63. Prooflike, as are most. (Written date means hand-engraved, not from punches, unlike previous obverse in this group of quarter dollars. The reverse later heavily clashed from this obverse. Lot 1762
1870 Half Dollar Round Liberty Head. . BG-1024, Low Rarity 4. NGC graded MS-61. Well proportioned Robert B. Gray type in which the 7 in the date leans noticeably to the right. This obverse was also paired with BG-1023, but now there is an unusual reverse for BG-1024 that seems to have been left unfinished since there is no know, bow, or berries. What made the die maker leave it in this state we will never know. Scarce. Pop 1; 2 finer, 1 in 62, 1 in 63 (PCGS # 10853) .
